Erwin Kostner is the new “Furies“ Head Coach

The HC Gherdeina valgardena.it has presented Erwin Kostner (ITA) as their new Head Coach! The 61-years old Italian spent most of his players-career in Gherdeina and has already coached the „Furies“ 2011/12 as well. Kostner started his coaches-career working with the Italian U18- and U20 national teams 2001. Besides, he has already worked as a Head Coach of GDT Bellinzona and HC Thurgau in Switzerland and for the Rittner Buam, HC Fassa Falcons and HC Pustertal Wolves in Italy. Lately, Kostner was Assistant Coach in Klobenstein from 2016 until 2018.

Big news from Kitzbühel
The Red Bulls Salute 2019, an international tournament, will be hold in Kitzbühel (Austria) on August 23rd and 24th. In the arena of EC "Die Adler" Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, the top-teams IFK Helsinki (FIN), Malmö Redhawks (SWE), EHC Red Bull München (GER) and EC Red Bull Salzburg (AUT) will try to earn the title.
Besides, Thomas Mader will go for goals and points for EC "Die Adler" Stadtwerke Kitzbühel in the upcoming season too. The 24-years old Austrian power-forward scored eleven points out of 41 Alps Hockey League games for the Eagles past season.

Four contract extensions in Lustenau
Backup-Goalie Lukas Reihs, defenseman Daniel Stefan and the two youngsters Leon Schmeiser and Robin Wüstner will continue playing for EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau in the upcoming season as well. Now, the Vorarlberger have 19 players under contract for 2019/20.
