Fans vote Luciani volley as top goal of 2022/23 season

In the last weeks the fans of the win2day ICE Hockey League could vote for the Top Goal of the 2022/23 season on the social media outlets of the league. In the end, Anthony Luciani of the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV received the most votes for his volley goal in the home game against the HC TIWAG Innsbruck.

Anthony Luciani joined the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV in mid-October. Less than a month later, on November 18th, the Canadian scored, for the fans of the win2day ICE Hockey League, the most beautiful goal of the 2022/23 season. The 1:0 in the 4:3 home win against Innsbruck was his fifth of 22 season goals. The 33-year-old also scored 21 assists.

In the final of the fan voting, the forward prevailed against a between-the-legs goal from Michael Haga of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz. Third place went to Austrian international Stefan Gaffal, who won the vote for the top goal of the 2021/22 season. Niki Hartl of the spusu Vienna Capitals finished in fourth place. A total of 64 goals were up for selection in the fan voting.
