Fassa gets another win against Bregenzerwald

In Friday's lone game HC Fassa Falcons celebrated a 5:3 away win against EC Bregenzerwald.

In the second meeting within one week the Italians held the upper hand again.

Fassa had the better of the play early in the game and created some chances but it was Daniel Ban who made the breakthrough after twelve minutes. The falcons answered promptly with Manuel Da Tos beating Misa Pietilä and just a few moments later Da Tos added his second of the night to turn the game around. Massimo Zanet extended Fassa's lead on power play and the first period was not over now. In the final minute Devin Di Diomete put his side 4:1 ahead with a man advantage. After the restart Bregenzerwald became stronger and they worked hard to bounce back. After 26 minutes they sent their pp formation to the ice for the first time and Christian Haidinger pulled one back. The pressed for another goal until the second break but Fassa netminder Gianna Scola performed some great saves. Early in the third the hosts missed a power play and it took until 57th minute when Haidinger made it a one-goal game. This goal raised hopes but it did not last long with a penalty against the home team. However, Bregenzerwald pulled their goale Misa Pietilä and Di Diomete made it safe with his goal for a 5:3 away win.
