Fassa inflicts first defeat on leader Zell after goal festival

The SHC Fassa Falcons was the first team to defeat the EK Zeller Eisbären. But it took a lot of hard work and numerous goals to do so. Zell took the lead five times in this match. Jesenice always had the right answer and equalized five times. After a goalless overtime, Edgar De Toni decided the game in a penalty shootout.

Lustenau wins against Ritten
EHC Lustenau turned around a match for the second time in a row. Against the Rittner Buam SkyAlps, the Vorarlberg team initially trailed 0:1 after a goalless first period. A shorthander then turned the match around and Lustenau finally celebrated a 3:1 victory - their first win in Ritten in two and a half years. In the standings, the gap to "die Buam" could thus be closed.

Jesenice records OT win over Bregenzerwald
EC Bregenzerwald suffered the second OT defeat within 24 hours. After being defeated by HK RST Pellet Celje on Friday, the Austrians again fought their way to overtime against reigning champions Jesenice. Only 13 seconds before the supposed end Janick Wernicke brought his team into overtime with the 3:3. There, Zan Jezovsek ensured the decision for Jesenice.

Clear wins for Unterland and Klagenfurt
The Hockey Unterland Cavaliers made an impressive comeback after three defeats in a row. Against HC Meran/o the Cavaliers won 6:1. Aleksi Käyrä scored twice for Unterland.

The EC-KAC Future Team celebrated the second surprisingly clear success in a row. After the 6:1 victory on Thursday against Gardena-Gröden, the Carinthians followed up with a 5:1 win over the favored EC Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. Lukas Waschnig scored twice for the EC-KAC.

Narrow victory for Linz
Steel Wings Linz AG celebrated its first win after regular time on Saturday night. The Upper Austrians narrowly prevailed 2-1 against league newcomer HK RST Pellet Celje. Despite a clear superiority in the first half of the game, the Steel Wings could not get beyond a 1:1. Then in the 33rd minute Dominik Stöttner provided the game-winning goal. Linz held on for the 2-1 - no more goals were scored in the other 27 minutes of the match.

Red Bull Hockey Juniors win duel against red lantern
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors won the duel against the last place in the table HC Gherdeina Hockey with 5:3. However, the hosts from Val Gardena got off to a much better start, leading 2:0 after 25 minutes. The Juniors turned the match around with five goals in a row. Jesse Helander and Vasily Zelenov each scored a brace.
