BEMER VEU Feldkirch - EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel 4:2 (0:0,2:0,2:2)
Both BEMER VEU Feldkirch and EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel suffered defeats in their last game before Christmas. On St. Stephen's Day, the guests got off to the better start. But although they set the tone in the first period, it remained a goalless draw. Only 51 seconds after the restart, it was Dylan Stanley who broke the scoring spell and put the hosts in the lead. Timo Sticha even made it 2:0 in the 39th minute. In the final period, Kitzbühel was able to beat the strong VEU goalie Alex Caffi, who recorded a total of 39 saves, twice. But Feldkirch never relinquished the lead and in the final minute Stanley scored his second goal into the empty net to make the final score 4:2. In the 20th AHL duel it was already the 15th win for VEU, who also took revenge for the shootout defeat in Tyrol in October.

Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan - Rittner Buam 0:4 (0:1,0:2,0:1)
Ritten immediately set the tone in Sterzing and scraped past the lead in the opening phase with a crossbar goal from Osburn. After that, Broncos goalkeeper Rabanser took centre stage, defusing all of the visitors' attacks. After a little more than five minutes, however, even he was powerless when Manuel Öhler gave him the slip after a quick counter-attack. The Rittner Buam kept the pressure on, but could not convert their superiority in the first period (21:5 shots) into any further goals. While Sterzing missed two chances for the equaliser in the middle period, the visitors made the preliminary decision with a double strike. First Lutz (32nd) scored with a one-timer after winning a face-off, before Marzolini was successful with a backhand shot less than 30 seconds later. Also in the last period, the Rittner Buam had the action on the ice under control. Five minutes before the end, Markus Spinell scored the fourth goal for the visitors. It was to be the last goal in this one-sided game (55:14 shots), in which Jake Smith ensured the fourth Rittner shutout of the current season and did not have to reach behind him for the second time in a row.

SHC Fassa Falcons - Steel Wings Linz 8:3 (3:0,3:1,2:2)
The Fassa Falcons were in top form in their first game after Christmas. Steven McParland opened the scoring against the Steel Wings Linz in the 14th minute, the home side had a comfortable 3-0 lead after the first period with further goals from Tedesco and Defrancesco. Only 37 seconds after the restart, McParland increased the lead, then Rossi added to his tally. Stuart added a goal for the visitors from Upper Austria, but shortly afterwards McParland scored a hat-trick to make it 6-1. The game was already decided before the final period, in which both teams scored twice each. Fassa won the eighth AHL duel against Linz. With their sixth win in a row, the Italians also stormed into the top six.
