The first period began with a big pressure from the home team on Ty Rimmer's goal. But the canadian goalkeeper managed to save all the shots. There was a big hit in 17th minute from Nejc Stojan on an oposing player. The defender was given a 2 min. penalty. The first goal of the period came in the 17th minute and it was scored by Erik Cimzar. The second period began strong for the home team. They scored their second goal in the 21nd minute. The visiting team scored a powerplay goal after Avsenek was sent to penalty box. Despite having more chances, the home team finished the second period with a one goal lead. In the last period we saw two more goals, the last one was scored in the empty net.

06.10.2018: EC Bregenzerwald – Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan 1:3 (1:2,0:0,0:1)
EC Bregenzerwald and Wipptal Broncos searched their luck in the offense (42:43-shots on net). The Italians had the better start into the game. Sotlar gave the „Broncos“ an early 2:0-lead (4., 12./pp). But, the Wälder stayed unimpressed and responded just 110 seconds later with a goal from Christian Haidinger. The game continued offensively, but the goalies Beck and Vallini prevented another goal. Bustreo has finally decided the game with the 3:1 in minute 52.

06.10.2018: Red Bull Hockey Juniors – EK Die Zeller Eisbären 6:2 (2:2,3:0,1:0)
The Salzburger derby started nervous and with a good chance for the guests from Pinzgau. But then, the Red Bulls showed their offensive power and earned a 2:0-lead thanks goals from Predan and Feldner (rebound). EKZ Headcoach Dieter Werfring took a Time Out to wake up his players. And the Polar Bears have responded quickly: Wilfan and LeBlanc tied the game within just 89 seconds – 2:2. The second period did not offer much chances in the beginning. But finally, the Red Bulls got the lead back with a Power Play goal from Nordberg. Feldner has quickly added the 4:2 with a deflection and Birnbaun netted the 5:2 with a blueliner still in the second period. The Mozart Citizens were on fire in period 3 as well and even added their sixth goal from Evertsson.

06.10.2018: EC-KAC II – EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau 0:5 (0:1,0:2,0:2)
EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau was the big favorite against EC-KAC II. Vallerands Power Play goal gave the Lions an early 1:0-lead in Klagenfurt (7.). Lustenau had a perfect start into period 2 as well: Alagic (22.) and Oberscheider (24.) extended the lead within just 95 seconds – 3:0. Then the Red Jackets started to play more offensively as well, but EHC goalie Maris Jucers (32 saves) allowed no goal. The Vorarlberger added two more goals from Winzig (47.) and Vallerand (50.) in the last period and earned a clear 5:0-win in Klagenfurt.

06.10.2018: Hockey Milano Rossoblu – Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 0:3 (0:1; 0:0: 0:2)
Alessandro Re was absent for Milan while for Asiago there weren’t the brothers Pietroniro and Olivero. The two teams played very careful. After five minutes the Asiago marked the first goal in shorthanded: Naclerio's run and a great pass for Stevan who didn’t make a mistake near the net. Then the match became very hard fought. In the second period the match was balanced. Milan didn’t capitalize 128 seconds of double powerplay. Josè Magnabosco hit the post. In the third time Asiago played more as they built the doubling: Anthony Bardaro scored in backend after a shot from the blue (6 vs 5). Then the match became very physical but the guests close the result with Michele Marchetti well served by Naclerio. Doucet failed a penalty shot. This was the second victory in less than 24 hours for Asiago and second shutout for Frederic Cloutier as in Salzburg (3:0).

06.10.2018: HC Fassa Falcons – VEU Feldkirch 4:7 (0:0,3:5,1:2)
After a very fought first period and with two teams that were equal, the second half was absolutely pyrotechnic with eight goals. Martin Castlunger opened the games but then Feldkirch scored three goals in just under three minutes with Samardzic Jennes and Pfennich. Halfway through there was the great Fassa reaction that equalized the scored with the Swedish duo Gran and Ostman. But after 33 minutes there was the turn of the game. Winzig, after a mistake by the opposing defense, and then Soudek (shorthanded) lead the Feldkirch to 5:3. From this moment the Austrian formation controlled the game until the final victory for 7: 4. Feldkirch earned 4 points in the Italian weekend after the match in Asiago and Alba di Canazei. For the Falcons was the second consecutive defeat.

06.10.2018: HC Gherdeina valgardena.it – HC Pustertal Wolves 0:5 (0:1,0:1,0:3)
Seventh consecutive victory for the Wolves as they remained at the top of the standings. Corbett, Teemu Virtala and Piroso were absent for the visitors. Good first half of Gherdeina that put a lot of pressure on Colin Furlong but didn’t find any goal despite the opportunities. Bruneck, on the other hand, scored the first goal with Tommaso Traversa in the scrum. Then the same Traversa doubled in the middle with a splendid goal and achieved in shorthaned (3 vs 5!) after a mistake on the blue line of the Furies. The Gherdeina didn’t  find the goal in spite of his game even in powerplay. After spending a lot of energy, the Gherdeina collapsed to the distance and the Wolves took 5:0 with the great experienced players: Gander, Oberrauch and Hofer. Second shutout for Colin Furlong.
