The 33-year-old Dávid Kiss took over as head coach of Hydro Fehérvár AV19 at short notice before the start of the season and raised the ice hockey euphoria in Székesfehérvár to another level with his successes so far this season - his team is currently in second place in the table. The former forward, who ended his playing career with his home club Székesfehérvár in 2012, has now been given a two-year extension together with his coaching team, Assistant Coach Tyler Dietrich and Goaltending Coach Samuli Nordman.

David Kiss, Head Coach Hydro Fehérvár AV19: "It is clear that it was an honor to have been given this position at the time. I knew that in this one year as the first Hungarian ICE coach I had to show that we can be successful with hard work. I still have a great desire to prove myself, I want to show the Hungarian ice hockey community, the city, the club management, the sponsors and the fans that I will use all my energy and my best knowledge to make the club successful and we can achieve new historic successes. Our coaching trio works extremely well, I like working with my colleagues, I trust them and we complement each other well. This year we will leave our old arena behind us, the arena where I grew up. I am proud to be part of the team that will soon take possession of the Alba Arena".
