However, they prevailed 6:4 in the Villach Stadthalle. The top player for Olimpija is Trevor Gooch. The American has scored in all of his last 14 games. Fri, 02.02.2024, 19:15: Hydro Fehérvár AV19 - spusu Vienna Capitals
Referees: OFNER, ZRNIC, Durmis, Vaczi. | >> live.ice.hockey <<
Second-placed Hydro Fehérvár AV19 have their first chance to secure a playoff spot on Friday. To do so, the Hungarians need a win against the spusu Vienna Capitals after 60 minutes, and two points will be enough for Fehérvár if either Linz or Villach pick up a maximum of one point. One point could also be enough for the 2022 runner-up to secure playoff qualification if either Linz or Villach lose after regulation. Fehérvár has already two wins against the Capitals this season. However, Vienna urgently needs a win on Friday to keep its small chance of reaching the Pre-Playoffs alive. They are currently nine points behind tenth-placed Pioneers Vorarlberg, who have a home game against Asiago on Friday. However, the Capitals have only won four of their last ten games. Fehérvár, by comparison, have won seven of their last eight encounters in all competitions. It was only on Tuesday that they prevailed 2:1 in the duel for second place in Salzburg.

Fri, 02.02.2024, 19:15: Steinbach Black Wings Linz - HCB Südtirol Alperia
Referees: STERNAT, VOICAN, Bedynek, Konc. | >> live.ice.hockey <<

Bolzano is fourth in the table, just four points ahead of the Upper Austrians. Overall, places four to eight are only separated by six points. Linz has won two out of three season duels with the HCB. Last season, the two teams faced each other in the quarter-finals, in which the HCB secured the promotion in extra time of game seven. The South Tyroleans are currently in much better form, with four wins in a row. The Black Wings recently suffered two defeats en suite, before that they celebrated two shootout victories in a row. However, the fans of the Black Wings have had to wait a month for a win in regulation time. On January 1, they won 5:2 in Villach. This was followed by six defeats in the eight games that followed.

Fri, 02.02.2024, 19:30: BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg - Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey
Referees: PALKÖVI, PIRAGIC, Martin, Sparer. | >> live.ice.hockey <<
Tenth-placed BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg can take a big step towards their first ever Pre-Playoff appearance with a home win against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey on Friday. The Pioneers currently have a nine-point lead over eleventh-placed Vienna. Asiago is twelfth and already 15 points behind the Pioneers. Last weekend, the team from Vorarlberg picked up six important points with victories in Graz and Ljubljana. Asiago celebrated a surprising 6:3 home win against Pustertal on Sunday. It was the first win for the northern Italians after four defeats in a row. However, they have won the last two season duels against the Pioneers in front of their home crowd. PIV celebrated a 2:0 home win in the Vorarlberghalle. It was the Pioneers' only win against Asiago to date.

Fri, 02.02.2024, 19:45: HC Pustertal - EC-KAC
Referees: NIKOLIC K., SMETANA, Pardatscher, Rigoni. | >> live.ice.hockey <<
League leader EC-KAC was the first team to punch their Playoff ticket last Sunday. Klagenfurt is currently five points ahead of their closest rivals Fehérvár. Should the KAC pick up at least one point at the HC Pustertal, they would definitely finish the Regular Season in the top four and thus have home court in the quarter-finals. Pustertal are eighth in the table and only one point behind sixth-placed Linz. Last Sunday, they missed out on a place in the top six with a surprising 3:6 defeat in Asiago. It was just one of three defeats in the last ten games for the South Tyroleans. The KAC have even won ten of their last twelve games. However, the KAC has problems against Pustertal this season. Although they won the last encounter 2:0, HCP won both times before that.
