Chasers Bolzano, Linz and Salzburg celebrate victories
HCB Südtirol Alperia came out on top against Olimpija Ljubljana 4:3 and are now level with the Hungarians in second place. The home side led 2:0 thanks to a brace from Salinitri and Helewka, but the Slovenians turned the game in their favour with three goals in the middle period. The pendulum swung back in Bolzano's favour in the third period. After equalising in between, Daniel Mantenuto scored three minutes before the end to give the Foxes their 400th league win.

Steinbach Black Wings Linz won 2:0 at home against HC TIWAG Innsbruck. After a goalless first period, Graham Knott (23rd) put the home side ahead while shorthanded. The Tyroleans, who have only scored two goals in their last four games, were unable to improve their offence. In the final phase, Sean Collins scored an empty netter to decide the game and goalie Thomas Höneckl recorded his first shutout of the season. With their eleventh win from twelve games in four weeks, the Upper Austrians are still in third place.

EC Red Bull Salzburg lived up to its position as favourites in the away game against the Pioneers Vorarlberg and won 6:2 against the team at the bottom of the table. The Red Bulls dominated the game from the start and were already leading 6:0 when the team from Feldkirch struck twice more at the end. Academy forward Maximilian Wurzer celebrated his first professional goal and Lucas Thaler scored twice for the first time this season. The reigning champions thus improved to fourth place.

Villach wins in Graz
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV won for the first time this season against the Moser Medical Graz99ers. After a goalless first period, the visitors took the lead through Thomas Vallant (23rd). The Styrians had better chances as the game progressed, with Kevin Roy equalising in the 45th minute. The game finally went to a shootout, where Kevin Hancock secured the extra point for Villach.
