After a long break for both teams, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 and iClinic Bratislava Capitals met for the first time. Both teams gained a lot of self-confidence before the forced break as they each won their last three games. The hosts got off to a better start - Andrew Sarauer set up a 1-0 lead in the first period, while AVS goalie Jaroslav Janus made his debut in Hungary. In the second period, however, he was defeated for the first time in a direct duel with Filip Ahl. In the final period Mitch Hults scored the lead with his sixth goal of the season. The US American thus extended his goal-scoring streak to four games. However, Alexander Petan helped Fehérvár into overtime. After a goalless extra time Istvan Bartalis ensured the victory for the Hungarians by scoring the decisive penalty shot.
