One goal and two assists from Trevor Cheek were not enough on Thursday night, as Fehérvár fell 3–8 in Klagenfurt and now trail 1–2 in the best-of-seven series. “Of course, you never want to lose like that, but it’s the playoffs – one result doesn’t matter as much. The series stands at 2–1,” said the American forward, highlighting the key focus going forward: “We’ve got a game plan set to play against KAC, and we just have to execute. They’re a really good team, so we need to make sure we stay focused and engaged every shift. Defending is a big part of the game and in playoffs you try to defend from your end out. Our goal is to limit their shots as much as possible.”

In their first home game of the series, the Hungarian team came from behind in front of nearly 3,200 fans to claim a 2–1 victory. Cheek expects another strong push at home: “Our fans create an incredible atmosphere, and we want to use that to our advantage – be ready from the start and apply pressure right away.”

The fourth quarterfinal game will be streamed live from 19:15 on www.sporteurope.tv, available with Hungarian or German commentary.
