Reigning bet-at-home ICE Hockey League champion EC-KAC suffered a bitter evening against Hydro Fehérvár AV19. The KAC was beaten with 7:0 at home and conceded their third defeat in a row. Also a clear success was celebrated by league leader EC Red Bull Salzburg, which was victorious against the Steinbach Black Wings Linz with 7:1. The HC Pustertal Wölfe is still unstoppable and celebrated its seventh win in a row at the HC Tesla Orli Znojmo.

The low of the EC-KAC continues. The reigning champion was defeated at home by Hydro Fehérvár AV19 with 0:7 and conceded already the third defeat in a row. In the table the Redcoats are only in sixth place, Fehérvár is third in the table. For AVS goalkeeper Rasmus Tirronen it was the first shutout of the season. After an even start, Janos Hari scored in the twelfth minute to give the visitors the lead. The Hungarians added two goals in the second period before the home side broke away in the final period in front of more than 1800 spectators. Within nine minutes Fehérvár scored four more goals. For AVS, where only Csanad Erdely scored twice, it was the second victory over the KAC in a row.

Leader Salzburg sovereign
The EC Red Bull Salzburg celebrated a clear 7:1 home victory against the Steinbach Black Wings Linz. The guests from Linz took the 1:0 lead after only 59 seconds with a powerplay goal by Martin Stajnoch. But the Red Bulls' answer came promptly (5.). No further goals were scored in the first period. But in the second period, the team from Salzburg, which is the first team already qualified for the playoffs, stepped up a gear. With four goals within five minutes, they quickly ensured the decision. Captain Thomas Raffl scored twice, as did Peter Schneider. While the Red Bulls celebrated their second win in a row, the Black Wings conceded their sixth defeat in a row.

Seventh win in a row for Pustertal
The HC Pustertal Wölfe already celebrated its seventh win in a row on Friday night. At the HC Tesla Orli Znojmo, the South Tyroleans prevailed with 4:3-SO. In the table they are in fifth place. Znojmo, which conceded its third defeat from the past five games, is ninth in the table. The visitors were quickly 2:0 in front thanks to a brace from Johan Harju. However, through Filip Ahl, the hosts also scored in the opening period. In the second period, Radek Prokes evened the score before Jakob Stukel scored to give Pustertal the lead again. It was also the 27-year-old Prokes who scored the equalizer for Znojmo in the final period. In the overtime the fans of the Czechs were even allowed to cheer about the victory for a short time. However, the supposed game-winner was disallowed for offside. In the shootout, the visitors finally prevailed and celebrated their second win in a row against the Czech Eagles.
