For the "Sharks" from Innsbruck it was also only the second game this year. On January 4th, they also lost at home against the HCB Südtirol Alperia with 1:4. Also against Fehérvár, the eleventh in the table had no chance. Although they started the game on an equal footing, the Hungarians took control of the game in the second period at the latest. The 1:0 of the guests fell however still in the first period. Braeden Shaw scored in a shorthanded situation (14.).

In the second period, AVS added three more goals. First Istvan Terbocs increased the lead to 2:0 in the 24th minute, before Balint Magosi made it 3:0 in the 30th minute. The final decision was made by Andrew Sarauer in the 37th minute. No further goals were scored in the final period and Daniel Kornakker celebrated his second shutout of the season. For the first time, the 25-year-old kept the zero against Linz on December 5th. In the second duel of the season between the two teams, it was the second clear victory for Fehérvár, which also prevailed in Innsbruck with 4:1 on October 15th.
