The players, officials and fans of the Dornbirn Bulldogs experienced a moment of shock in Friday's game against the iClinic Bratislava Capitals when Capitals player Boris Sádecký collapsed on the ice and had to be taken to the intensive care unit in Dornbirn. The game was subsequently abandoned. According to a recent statement from the Bratislava Capitals, Boris is in "stable but serious condition."

Only 24 hours later, the Dornbirn Bulldogs already played their next home game. This time the second placed Hydro Fehérvár AV19 was the guest. The Hungarians were defeated with 2:3 in Bolzano on Friday. Against the Bulldogs, however, they started brilliantly. Already after 58 seconds Brady Shaw put the guests in the lead. In a high scoring game, the Hungarians were able to add two more goals in the first period. Dornbirn scored once.

In the middle period, things got really turbulent. Although the Bulldogs quickly reduced the score to 2:3, AVS pulled away afterwards. After the second period it was already 8:4 for the visitors, with Shaw scoring two more times.

In the final period, both teams played more defensively. In the 51st minute of the game, however, the hosts were able to reduce the score to 5:8 with a goal from Nikita Jevpalovs. However, the eleventh-placed team in the table was unable to avoid its fifth defeat in a row. Fehérvár won the game and celebrated the third win from the last five games.
