Both the EC Red Bull Salzburg and the HC Pustertal conceded a narrow defeat on the last matchday after shootout and overtime respectively. For the Red Bulls it was the first loss after previously three wins in a row. They are in second place in the table. Pustertal is bottom of the table. However, the South Tyroleans have recently experienced an upswing. They have won three of their last five games. However, the "Wolves" have not won any of their last nine games away from home. They also lost their first match of the season in Salzburg (1:2 OT). In addition, RBS also won the first duel between the two teams in Bruneck after overtime (4:3 OT). For Salzburg, numerous players will return to the lineup. Besides Peter Hochkofler, Mario Huber, Jakub Borzecki and Nicolas Wieser, especially JP Lamoureux is looking forward to returning to the bench as goalie backup after three months of injury. Aljaž Predan is also ready for action again. Only Vincent LoVerde (illness) will be missing, Paul Huber and Kilian Zündel (not fully fit) are questionable.

Fri, 03.12.2021, 19:15: EC GRAND Immo VSV - Dornbirn Bulldogs
Referees: BULOVEC, TRILAR, Muzsik, Snoj. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
While the Dornbirn Bulldogs continue to be in a slump, not a single win from the past nine games, the EC GRAND Immo VSV is in very good shape. The Villach team won all of their last three games and currently hold the important sixth place in the table, which assures a fixed playoff participation. The Bulldogs, in eleventh place in the table, are currently outside the pre-playoff places. With 77 goals already scored, Villach currently has the second-best offense in the league. With Scott Kosmachuk, the current league top goal scorer also wears the jersey of the "Eagles" (13 goals). Dornbirn, on the other hand, has already conceded 75 goals. Only Graz has conceded even more goals (80). EC GRAND Immo VSV-Head Coach Rob Daum will still have to do without convalescents Maximilian Rebernig as well as Yannick Pilloni against Dornbirn. However, both players have already started with the first ice training sessions and will join the team training next week. Nico Brunner returns to the lineup after overcoming an injury. Also back in the team is Alexander Rauchenwald.

With four defeats in a row lately, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 slipped from second to fourth place in the table. The ninth in the table, Tesla Orli Znojmo, won two of the past five games. Fri, 03.12.2021, 19:15: Steinbach Black Wings Linz - Moser Medical Graz99ers
Referees: FICHTNER, SMETANA, Gatol, Riecken. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
Ranked tenth in the table, the Moser Medical Graz99ers are currently the last team qualified for the pre-playoffs. The Steinbach Black Wings Linz follow two places behind. Of the past five games, both teams have managed two wins. Away from home, the 99ers have been struggling for quite some time. Out of ten away games this season, they could only win one. Linz, on the other hand, is one of the weakest home teams, with four wins from eleven matches. On the Black Wings' side, Brian Lebler is currently the man-to-watch. The Austrian international already has thirteen goals scored this season. In seven of the past eight games, the 33-years-old has also always scored at least one point. G99 head coach Jens Gustafsson can rely on almost the entire lineup in Linz, with only Mike Zalewski missing on the Graz side. Michael Schiechl is back in the starting lineup.

Fri, 03.12.2021, 19:30: HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie - EC-KAC
Referees: HUBER, NIKOLIC M., Sparer, Wimmler. | >> PULS 24 <<
In the PULS 24 live match, the HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie will meet the EC-KAC. For Innsbruck it will be the first game since November 7th. The Tyroleans were then out of action due to health precautions. Klagenfurt have played six games since the last game of the "Haie" and also managed to win five of them. In the standings, the defending champions are in fifth place. Innsbruck, which has won eight of the last ten games, is third in the table. Due to the recent strong results on the side of the Tyroleans, the contract with Head Coach Mitch O'Keefe was extended prematurely by two seasons. Friday's duel is already the fourth and thus last encounter between the HC Innsbruck and the EC-KAC in the basic round: While the first two games went clearly to the Carinthians (6:2 at home and 6:3 away), the Sharks were able to win the last game, played at the end of October in Klagenfurt, with 4:1.

Fri, 03.12.2021, 19:45: HCB Südtirol Alperia - spusu Vienna Capitals
Referees: BERNEKER, NIKOLIC K., Pardatscher, Rigoni. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<
For the HCB Südtirol Alperia the home game against the spusu Vienna Capitals will be the first game without Head Coach Doug Mason. The South Tyrolean and the Canadian ended the cooperation after the recent mixed performances. Also decisive was probably the clear 2:10 defeat in Znojmo last Sunday. Until further notice, the team will be led by the current assistant coach Fabio Armani. He will be actively supported by the Bolzano legend Alexander Egger, who was previously assistant video coach on the staff of the "Foxes". Against the Capitals, who have a South Tyrol trip ahead of them, it comes to a rematch of last season's semifinal. Back then, Bolzano prevailed with 4:2 victories. Since then, there has been no duel between the two teams. In the standings, the Vienna Capitals, who have won three of their last five games, are immediately ahead of Bolzano in seventh place. On the side of the Foxes, Marco Insam and Simon Pitschieler will continue to be missing. Newcomer Daniel Ciampini is already training with the team, but it is uncertain whether he will play on Friday. For the Capitals, the personnel situation in the defense eases a bit. Matt Prapavessis is fit again and on board for the road trip. Charlie Dodero, however, is still missing due toan injury. In addition, the Viennese announced that the US American Corey Tropp will no longer be part of the team in the future. All info here.
