Fr, 10.12.2021, 7.15 pm: EC Red Bull Salzburg – HC TESLA Orli Znojmo
Referees: SIEGEL, STERNAT, Nothegger, Seewald. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
EC Red Bull Salzburg and HC TESLA Orli Znojmo will play their third encounter of the season against each other on Friday – for the first time this duel will take place in Salzburg. In the previous two games, each team could claim a victory after regulation. Second-placed Salzburg, once again entering with a full lineup, have a point streak available: since November 5th (5:1 @ZNO), the Bulls have always scored in their last eight league home games, winning six of them. The Czechs' record is more like a roller coaster, especially on the road, as only two of the eleven road games were won, in the last five away games they lost with a total goal difference of 7:18. However, in their last three appearances in the ice arena they managed to score seven points. Znojmo hopes to build on its powerplay strength, is currently the strongest team in the league with one more man on the ice (27.9%). However, with an average of only 6.2 penalty minutes per game from Salzburg in the current season, the guests need to be efficiency.
Fr, 10.12.2021, 7.15 pm: Hydro Fehérvár AV19 – Moser Medical Graz99ers
Referees: HRONSKY, SOOS, Durmis, Voaczi. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
For the second time this season, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 and the Moser Medical Graz99ers duel each other. The currently third-placed Hungarians won the first game of the season 3:1, deciding the long goalless encounter in the final third. On home ice, Fehérvár has won the last four games against the Styrians, where Ben Blood is suspended. The Magyars are very strong at home this season too, having scored in nine of eleven games, although the team around returnee Janos Hari, who made his comeback against Vienna on Tuesday after a month and a half injury layoff, continues to have problems while shorthanded (77.4% | #10). Graz is struggling with its performance on the road, picking up just six points in the last ten games (eight defeats). Mike Zalewski is missing for the Styrians due to injury.
Fr, 10.12.2021, 7.15 pm: Dornbirn Bulldogs – HC Pustertal Wölfe
Referees: NIKOLIC M., RUETZ, Martin, Sparer. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
In Dornbirn, two teams meet that are currently outside the pre-playoff places. The Dornbirn Bulldogs, which have recently been downsized, are in twelfth place, the HC Pustertal Wölfe in eleventh. The home team lost to HCB Südtirol Alperia on Tuesday with 3:5, struggled when shorthanded (two goals conceded). With one man less on the ice, their performance during the season was nevertheless strong with a penalty killing of 83.3%. This factor will also be needed against the "Wolves", who are strong on the powerplay, successfully completing every fourth PP and also scored twice on PP most recently in the 7:3 win over Linz. The South Tyrolean will play this game without Tommaso Traversa, as his contract was terminated by mutual agreement. The 31-year-old will play for the Sheffield Steelers in the Elite Ice Hockey League in the future.
Fr, 10.12.2021, 7.30 pm: EC GRAND Immo VSV – EC-KAC
Referees: PIRAGIC, TRILAR, Hribar, Zgonc. | >> LIVE auf PULS24 <<
For 22 and 24 games, respectively, the fans of EC GRAND Immo VSV and EC-KAC had to wait for the first Kärntner Derby of the 21/22 season. On Friday, the now 339th edition of this duel (142 wins VSV; 177 wins KAC; 19 games drawn) will take place in the Villach Stadthalle and will be broadcast live on PULS24 starting at 7:10 pm. Even though the two teams each took defeats on Tuesday, they are close to the top-6 in the standings: Villach ranks seventh with a points average of 1.636, while Klagenfurt is eighth with 1.625. The “Adler” have won twelve games so far, while the “Rotjacken” have won 13. The teams can be differentiated by their offensive power, as VSV scores an average of 3,9 times per game, while KAC scores 2,8 times. Villach has always scored at home in the last eight games. But the KAC has won 19 of the last 23 confrontations. For Villach, John Hughes still has to wait for his derby comeback after his suspension. Klagenfurt is missing Paul Postma, Nick Petersen, Dennis Sticha and Samuel Witting. Johannes Bischofberger makes his comeback.

Referees: BERNEKER, NIKOLIC K., Basso, Mantovani. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
The spusu Vienna Capitals start another road trip on Friday, opening it – as already on December 7th – with a guest game at the Palaonda at HCB Südtirol Alperia and play on Saturday (15.30) already in Dornbirn. The fourth-placed team won last Friday's meeting in Bolzano 2:1 with goals from Niki Hartl and Philippe Lakos. The Viennese team currently has four wins in a row – mainly because the performance of their Austrian goalie team is on the rise, with both Bernhard Starkbaum (93% save percentage) and David Kickert (91.8%) provide strong support. In the line-up of skaters, however, the "Caps" are forced to change their squad: Brody Sutter (12G|8A), their second-best scorer, and Dominic Hackl (5A) are out for the next weeks. The use of newcomer Matt Bradley is not yet determined. Opponents Bozen returned to winning ways twice after a home loss to Vienna, beating Dornbirn and Graz. Daniel Ciampini, Bozen's youngest newcomer, scored on his debut.

The Innsbruck team has won both of the previous season's duels with the leader, coming back in both. The fifth in the table recorded its first win after the Corona break against Znojmo on Tuesday. Daniel Leavens shone with a 5-point game (1G|4A), scoring for the second consecutive game. Ljubljana continues to provide the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League's top scorer in Guillaume Leclerc (10G|22A). On Tuesday in Klagenfurt he hit the game-winner for a 3:2 victory. For the "Dragons" it was already the 15th win of the season.
