Jesper Jensen Aabo has been in action in eight of his most recent ten seasons in two of the strongest leagues outside the NHL, spending four years each in the SHL (Rögle BK, Färjestads BK, Malmö Redhawks) and the KHL (Jokerit Helsinki). Last season, the 30-year-old represented the Krefeld Penguins in the DEL, for whom he recorded five goals and 20 assists in 38 games.

"I have been in contact with the EC-KAC for some time, in the course of the last months we got closer and after extensive talks with General Manager Oliver Pilloni, Head Coach Petri Matikainen and of course Sebastian Dahm it became clear that Klagenfurt is the place where I want to continue my career. I know that I am joining a very professional organization, a club whose goals are always very high. At EC-KAC, you play to win trophies, and I want to do my part in the coming years to make that happen. I'm looking forward to the club, the city and the supporters", Jesper Jensen Aabo says.
