99ers still cann’t win at Salzburg
After a good start Ryan Duncan made the lead for EC Red Bull Salzburg in their home-game against Moser Medical Graz99ers in a Power Play in minute 5 from a short distance. The Red Bulls were more active also in the following minutes, but the hosts had problems to finish their attacks. The Styrians then found better into the match, but goalie Luka Gracnar was ready. After the re-start the Mozart Citizens were the chief on the ice first. But then the 99ers got a Power Play and started to make pressure: Ken Ograjensek shot from the slot, but Luka Gracnar stopped the puck. In the following minutes the game went up and down. In minute 33 Hannu Toivonen stopped a shot from Peter Mueller with a big save. One minute later the puck was in the net on the other side, but the goal from the 99ers was not allowed because of high sticking. The 99ers stayed dangerous. Finally in minute 48 Nixon scored the 1:1 in a Power Play. There were good chances on both sides to decide the game (Mueller-rebound or Setzinger-solo), but it needed a Shoot Out to find the winner. Here Mueller and Schemp scored for Salzburg, while no 99er was successful. Red Bulls won for the 13. time in a row at home against the 99ers.

Fehervar AV19 celebrated fifth win in a row at Villach
After seven minutes the game at Villach started really. Fehervar AV19 had a Power Play, but the Devils just hit the post. On the other side the Eagles also missed a good shorthander-chance. The Hungarians then failed to score from another Power Play and so the score stayed 0:0. After the re-start the guests threatened a few times. Finally in minute 33 Janos Hari made the 1:0 for the Hungarians. Villach had an answer: Benjamin Petrik made the 1:1 in minute 37 from the blue line. The last 20 minutes were equal played, but no goal was scored. In the Overtime goalie Carruth saved his team with a big save. It followed a Shoot Out were Janos Hari fixed the fifth win in a row for Fehervar AV19.

Bulldogs beat Black Wings after Shoot Out
EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz found better into the game at Dornbirn, but missed the first good chances from Gaffal and Spannring. This was punished by DEC: After a shot from Sean McMonagle Brodie Reid poked the puck in in a Power Play (13.). Then Reid and D’Alvise outplayed all Linz-players, but missed to score into the empty net. This was punished by the Upper Austrians: 51 seconds after the re-start Erik Kirchschläger made the 1:1 The Bulldogs stayed unimpressed, fought hard and took over the control of the game. Even shorthanded the Bulldogs were more dangerous now. Finally Matt Fraser (36.) finished a diagonal-pass from Magnan for the 2:1. The guests tried to bounce back. In a Power Play Brian Lebler scored the 2:2. Both teams then took care of their defense. DEC-goalie Ronan Quemener stopped Rick Schofield from scoring. So the game went first into an Overtime and then in Shoot Out, where Sean McMonagle scored twice and fixed the win for DEC.

Bozen stays unbeaten at home in Tyrolean derbys
HCB Südtirol Alperia took the lead in the first Power Play of the game: Chris DeSousa deflected the puck after a Slapshot from Captain Alex Egger. Innsbruck tried to answer, but goalie Sedlacek stopped Lammers and Clark from scoring (9.). The next chances had Bozen, but Monardo, who was free infront of the net or Angelidis and Carlisle, both had a rebound-chance, could not extend the lead. Innsbruck came close to score the 1:1 in a Power Play, but the guests just hit the post. Bozen had more from the game also in period 2, but Innsbruck was more dangerous. Schennach (alone in front of the net) and Poulsen were all stopped by goalie Sedlacek. And on the other side Bozens chances from Monardo (quick shot after the re-start), Halmo (2x), Gartner (shot from blue line) and Frigo (counter-attack) also stayed unused. The Italians started the last period on a Power Play, but the score stayed unchanged. Then Innsbruck threatened again with chances from Bishop and Clark, but both were stopped by Sedlacek. Also in the following minutes the Sharks found no recipe to beat the HCB-goalie. Bozen could have even scored another goal by Frigo (counter), Oleksuk or DeSousa.

Thanks two Power Play goals from Jerry Pollastrone (12.) and Kyle Klubertanz (17.) the Vienna Capitals took a 2:0-lead in the east-derby. HC Orli Znojmo stayed unimpressed and answered quickly with the 1:2 from Erik Nemec after a counter. Period 2 started unbelievable: First Nemec equalized in minute 25 in a Power Play – 2:2.
