In the only Wednesday game, EC Bregenzerwald will host Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. The visitors from Tyrol have won all of their last five games and are in fourth place in the table. Bregenzerwald have recently suffered three defeats in a row and are eleventh in the table. Kitzbühel have won the two duels so far this season (6:4, 5:1).

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors return to league action on Thursday. The Salzburg team played their last game on November 30. After that, the Juniors were no longer in action due to the large number of U20 World Cup participants. RBJ slipped to last place in the table. Opponents Hockey Unterland Cavaliers are in ninth place and have ten points more than the Juniors. In the first duel of the season, the Salzburg team won 5:2 in Neumarkt.

Second-placed Ritten will host seventh-placed Sisak. The defending champions clearly beat leaders Jesenice 7:1 on Monday, meaning the South Tyroleans are now only five points behind the Slovenians. Sisak lost 2:3 at home to Merano, conceding the decisive goal just five seconds before the end of the game. The Croatians slipped to seventh place in the table and are now already ten points behind fifth-placed Cortina. However, they have played three games less than the Italians. In the first duel of the season with Ritten, the league newcomers lost 2:5 away from home.

Third-placed EK Die Zeller Eisbären will face sixth-placed Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan on Thursday. The home side from Pinzgau have been beaten in their last two matches and are now five points behind leaders Jesenice. The Broncos recently lost 1:2/OT in Kitzbühel, before which the South Tyroleans had won eight of their last ten games. They are seven points behind fifth place. The Broncos have suffered two home defeats (3:5, 1:3) in the two duels with Zell am See so far this season.

In the fourth and final game on Thursday, HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, who are twelfth in the table, take on S.G. Cortina Hafro, who are in fifth place. The visitors have won four of their last five games and are therefore in very good form. The runners-up from the last two seasons have also won both head-to-head meetings with Val Gardena this season. GHE recently lost the derby at Unterland by 2:5, in total they have won two of their last five games.
