The Alps Hockey League will start with five games into the month November on Thursday. The Italian clash Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro vs. Hockey Milano Rossoblu has been cancelled due to the risky weather situation in the region. EK Die Zeller Eisbären have re-signed reliable (goal-)scorer Petr Vala.

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice has had some problems lately: The „Red Steelers“ have lost three straight games in the Alps Hockey League, allowing 15 goals. The Slovenes will now welcome HC Gherdeina valgardena.it on Thursday. The Steel Citizens have a perfect home-record against the Furies: The Slovenian Champion has been successful in both home-games against the club from Gherdeina so far. But watch out: The Furies had a good run lately, they won three out of their last four games. On Tuesday, the Italians have beaten EC-KAC II at home 4:2, scoring twice on Power Play.

Red Bull Hockey Juniors vs. HK SZ Olimpija is a meeting of two clubs, who have had a good run lately. The Austrians have been successful in four straight matches and are already ranked on place 5. Besides, the Mozart Citizens have been convincing at home as well. The club from Salzburg has earned five straight home-wins. Furthermore, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors are the best team in power Play (PP: 30.8%): But, watch out: HK SZ Olimpija has even won nine consecutive matches and is ranked on place 2. Besides, Ales Music and Company have netted most goals (52) and have allowed just 17 goals out of twelve games. EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau vs. EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel is the only Austrian clash on Thursday. The Lions have won nine straight meetings with the Eagles. The Tyroleans have earned their last victory against the Vorarlberger on September 19th 2015 or 1.138 days ago. Besides, the Eagles are missing a win in Lustenau. But, watch out: Adam Havlik and Co. has collected some confidence lately, beating HC Fassa Falcons (H) and Champion Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 (A), while EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau has been defeated by Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro 2:3 after SHoot Out at home in their last game. Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan vs. HC Fassa Falcons is the meeting of two Italian clubs on Thursday. Each team will try to return on the winning-street in Sterzing: While the Broncos have been defeated in Ljubljana on Tuesday (2:6), Fassa have even six straight matches. Besides, the Falcons will try to end their bad road-run: The club ranked on place 16 has been defeated in 22 straight road-games since middle of October 2017. Sterzing has won two straight meetings with Fassa.

Vice-Champion Rittner Buam has been convincing lately: The Italian Champion has won three straight games, allowing just five goals, and moved up in the ranking to place 9. The South Tyroleans will welcome EK Die Zeller Eisbären on Thursday now. The Polar Bears have earned some confidence by beating EC Bregenzerwald  at home(4:2) lately. But, the Austrians have had problems on the road so far. The Polar Bears have been defeated in five straight road-games, allowing 26 goals. Besides, the Rittner Buam have won both home-games against EKZ so far.
EK Die Zeller Eisbären have re-signed reliable (goal-)scorer Petr Vala! The 39-year old Czech has already played in Pinzgau from 2011 until 2016 and past season. 2017/18, the forward has potted 38 points (13G/25A) out of 35 Alps Hockey League games for the Polar Bears.
