With two wins in a row, league leader HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana came to Dornbirn and continued their winning run. Although the Bulldogs took the lead through Kevin Macierzynski in the fifth minute, the Slovenians promptly struck back through a Kalan goal. Olimpija was the better team in the first 40 minutes and took a deserved lead in the middle period, with Cimzar and Erving making it 1:3. The final period then belonged entirely to the home side, who were rewarded for their offensive efforts with a quick equalizer. While the Vorarlberg team missed some good chances in the final minutes, Ljubljana showed their coolness: 40 seconds before the end Jaka Sodja scored the game winner to make it 4:3. With this victory the Slovenians also extended their lead in the standings.

KAC wins chasing duel
In the chasing duel between Hydro Fehérvár AV19 and EC-KAC, the guests took the lead twice, but the Hungarians managed to equalize each time. At 2:2 the game went into overtime. In this KAC defender Paul Postma scored after 39 seconds for the away victory. While Fehérvár remained in second place, the reigning champions moved up to third.

In fourth place is now EC Red Bull Salzburg, who played overtime for the fifth time in a row. After a quick 0:2 deficit at the Moser Medical Graz99ers, the guests managed to equalize with a brace from Mario Huber. In the shootout, Simon Hjalmarsson scored for the second win in a row for the Styrians.

The spusu Vienna Capitals also celebrated a home win - the third in a row. The 3:0 win over HC Pustertal was the second victory over the league newcomers within nine days. While Karlsson, Meyer and Piff provided the goals, goalie David Kickert recorded his first shutout since returning to Vienna.

Pelletier scores fastest league goal
The Steinbach Black Wings took the lead in their home game against EC GRAND Immo VSV after just seven seconds through Will Pelletier. Thus, the 28-year-old Canadian shares from now on with Villach's Benjamin Petrik (2013 against Dornbirn) the fastest league goal. Until the 60th minute, the Upper Austrians also had a 3:1 lead, but then the Carinthians equalized in a dramatic final phase with two goals (each with Empty Net). In overtime, Scott Kosmachuk ensured the away win.

The iClinic Bratislava got back on track with a 5:3 win at HCB Südtirol Alperia, Denis Hudec scored a brace. While the Slovaks improved to eighth place, the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League runners-up slipped to eleventh.
