Four clubs add new signings | Harnisch and Brunner stay in Graz

EC Red Bull Salzburg have signed experienced defenseman Wyatt Kalynuk for the upcoming season. Offensive reinforcements were also announced by FTC-Telekom, Milano Hockey Club, and HC Falkensteiner Pustertal. Meanwhile, the Moser Medical Graz99ers confirmed contract extensions for Tim Harnisch and Nico Brunner.

EC Red Bull Salzburg have signed experienced defenseman Wyatt Kalynuk for the upcoming season. The Canadian was drafted in 2017 and later appeared in 26 NHL games for the Chicago Blackhawks, in addition to playing 201 games in the American Hockey League. In Europe, Kalynuk first suited up for Pelicans Lahti in Finland before moving to the KHL last season. The 29-year-old now joins Salzburg.

Offensive additions in Budapest, Milan, and Pustertal
Finnish forward Rasmus Heljanko strengthens the offense of FTC-Telekom. The 26-year-old spent the past two seasons with Polish side GKS Tychy, also competing in the Champions Hockey League. Prior to that, he played in Finland’s top two divisions.

Wade Allison bolsters the attack of Milano Hockey Club. The 28-year-old Canadian was selected in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft, played 75 NHL games, and gained extensive experience in the AHL. Most recently, he featured in both the KHL and DEL.

HC Falkensteiner Pustertal continue to shape their roster ahead of the new season with the signing of Gerry Fitzgerald. The 32-year-old Canadian has spent the past six seasons in Sweden’s Allsvenskan, most recently with MoDo Hockey, recording 233 points in 288 games.

Contract extensions in Graz
The Moser Medical Graz99ers are relying on continuity heading into the 2026–27 season. Following an impressive World Championship performance, forward Tim Harnisch has extended his contract for two more years. Defenseman Nico Brunner has also signed on for another season.
