Four games are scheduled in the Alps Hockey League on Thursday. There will be the first leg in the Return-2-Play between Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey and S.G. Cortina Hafro. It is the last duel, which is still pending in the Return-2-Play. In the three other duels, the EC-KAC II meets the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, the Steel Wings Linz faces the Red Bull Hockey Juniors for the second time in two days and the Rittner Buam will return to the ice after a 33-day forced break against the HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana.

The EC-KAC plays its second game within 48 hours. Recently on Tuesday the Klagenfurt team lost against HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice in the Return-2-Play return match with 8:2. For the Carinthians it was the first game after more than a month of forced break and the fourth defeat in a row. Kitzbühel lost last two games. With nine points, the KEC is in ninth place in the table, the KA2 is in 15th place with three points. With Mikael Johansson, Kitzbühel has a player in the top ten of the scorer ranking. With 14 points (8G/6A) the Swede is in seventh place. In the H2H the Tyroleans are clearly in front. From ten AHL duels Kitzbuehel won nine.

For the second time within the last 48 hours, the Steel Wings Linz will face the Red Bull Hockey Juniors. On Tuesday the Young Bulls celebrated a clear 6:0 home victory over the Steel Wings. The leader of the Alps Hockey League is also the clear favorite in the duel on Thursday. In three duels with the Linz team so far, RBJ has achieved three clear victories with an overall score of 24:1 goals. While the Young Bulls have always scored points at home in the last 23 games, they have only been successful in one of the last five away games.

Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey against S.G. Cortina Hafro is the last duel that is still outstanding in the Return-2-Play. The first leg will be played on Thursday, the second leg will follow on Tuesday, December 15th. While Asiago won the last two games, Cortina had to concede the first defeat after four wins in a row at the HC Pustertal Wölfe last. In the table it is a neighborhood duel. Both teams played eight games and scored nine points. In the H2H Asiago is leading with 6:4. Steven McParland is the best scorer on Asiago's side with 13 points (6G/7A). Remarkably, the Canadian has scored in each of the eight matches of the season so far. Best scorer of the guests is Phil Pietroniro, who has always scored in the last three games. In total, the 26-year-old has scored eleven points (6G/5A).

The Rittner Buam are playing their first game after a 33-day Covid 19 compulsory break. The opponent is the HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana. The Slovenians completed their last AHL match on November 14th and are the only team still undefeated this season. Seven out of eight games they could decide after regular playing time. The Rittner Buam celebrated a 5:2 home win over the SHC Fassa Falcons in their last game, on October 24th. It was the first victory after three defeats in a row. Both teams have so far met in the AHL 14 times. Ljubljana has won ten out of 14 matches. The last duel, on February 25th, however, was won by the "Buam" with 3:2 after Shootout.
