Table leader HCB Südtirol Alperia won clearly with 7:3 at the Steel Wings Linz and is still five points ahead of HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana, who also won with 7:2 against the EC Bregenzerwald. With HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice, the second Slovenian team also won. In the first game after over a month for the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, they suffered a 4:1 away defeat at the Rittner Buam. In the other games, the EHC Lustenau, Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey and S.G. Cortina Hafro were successful.
Clear victory of Ljubljana against Bregenzerwald
HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana won their second game of the year too. After a clear 5:0 away win last Wednesday at Gherdeina, the Slovenians finished won this time against the EC Bregenzerwald clearly with 7:2. For the "Wäder" it was the second defeat in a row. Jesenice wins first duel of the season against Sterzing
With HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice also the second Slovenian team prevailed on Saturday evening (4:1). In the second match of the year JES celebrated the first victory. It was already the sixth home match in a row by Jesenice not losing. The Broncos lost after two recent wins. The first goal of the game was scored by Jaka Sodja in the 15th minute of the game. It was the 19th scoring point for the 21-year-old this season. In total, five different players scored. For Jesenice it was the ninth win in the eleventh AHL duel with Sterzing. The Slovenians are in ninth place in the standings, the Broncos are thirteenth.
Feldkirch loses at Asiago I Lustenau wins in Gröden
While the VEU Feldkirch lost with 5:1 at Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, the EHC Lustenau won with 4:3 at the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it. Latvian Renars Karkls scored the game-winning goal for the EHC in the 37th minute of the game. In the standings, Lustenau moves up to the fifth place, Val Gardena is twelfth.
Feldkirch had no chance at Asiago. ASH won clearly with 5:1 and is now in third place in the standings. VEU is in sixth place.
