Release from 30.01.2017
The VEU Feldkirch in the master round and the HC Fassa Falcons (Group A) in the qualification round as well as the KAC II and Kitzbühel (both group B) are still without points in intermediate round. This week they aim to capture the first points.
FBI VEU Feldkirch – HC Pustertal Wölfe
The FBI VEU Feldkirch is still without points in the master round. Against the HC Pustertal Wolves they want to capture the first points. Also the HC Pustertal couldn’t book a win in the first two games. Recently they lost against Lustenau in penalty shoot out. Currently Pustertal is on the fourth place but with a win even the second place after that round is possible. Feldkirch needs a win to stay in the race for a potential top three place. Both duels so far went very closely to Pustertal.
EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau – Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey
Lustenau booked a very successful start into the master round and is already on the second place. With a win against Asiago they can confirm the position as first follower of Ritten. But also Asiago did a good job at the beginning of the second phase. After a win against Pustertal, they challenged Ritten over more than 60 minutes. In overtime they hat to take the close loss. Till now both teams won one duel against each other, in both duels the home team won.
HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice – Rittner Buam
The Rittner Buam are still undefeated in the master round. But the last game against Asiago was a very close one and only decided in overtime. Jesenice is after the defeat against Lustenau back on the road of success and won against Feldkirch. Currently they are on the third place trailing by only one point to the second place. The duels till now of the two team was decided by the away team – so both won one duel so far.
EC Bregenzerwald – HC Gherdeina valgardena.it
Bregenzerwald started with a huge success into the Qualification Round against Cortina. Then they had to take a defeat against the Red Bulls. Gherdeina played only one game succeeded against Salzburg. They are currently placed on the third place with still all the chances to qualify for the playoffs. In the previous duels the home team won with shooting at least five goals.
HC Fassa Falcons – Red Bull Hockey Juniors
The Fassa Falcons had only one game in qualification round and got defeated by Cortina. So they are currently on the last place with no points so far. Salzburg captured the first points in addition to the bonus points last weekend, beating Bregenzerwald. Against the Falcons Salzburg is still undefeated this season. They won two out of two duels.
EC Stadtwerke Kitzbühel – WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan
Kitzbühel is after one game still without points. The Broncos celebrated a huge success against HC Neumarkt recently and are also after one game already on the third place. In both duels so far of these two team the home team won.
EC KAC II – HC Neumarkt Riwega
The HC Neumarkt is togehter with EK Zeller Eisbären one of the biggest favorites for the win of qualification round B. But recently they had to take a big defeat against the Broncos. Both duels in this season went to Neumarkt. So there is a big chance to take revenge for the KAC.
