Zell am See celebrated a 3–1 road win at Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan on Tuesday and are now just one victory away from the semifinals. The defending champions won both home games in the series 4–1 and 5–2. The two teams already met in last season’s semifinals, where the Austrian side also won all of their home games.

Sisak also with a home chance to reach the semifinals
Alongside Zell am See, Sisak can also book their semifinal spot on home ice. For the Croatians, it would be their first appearance in the semifinals in just their second Alps Hockey League season. Last year, they were eliminated in the Pre-Playoffs. They earned a 3–0 road win against S.G. Cortina Hafro on Tuesday, having previously won both home games 2–1 and 4–3 in overtime. During the regular season, they also won one of their two home matchups.

Asiago looking to extend the series
HC Migross Asiago are the only home team on Thursday facing elimination. The third-placed team from the Master Round trails HC Meran/o Pircher 1–3 in the series. On Tuesday, they secured a 3–2 road win to get on the board for the first time in the series. However, they lost both home games 2–4 and 1–2. For Meran, this is already their third quarterfinal appearance in five AHL seasons, but they have yet to reach the semifinals.

Salzburg faces elimination on Friday
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors and HC Gherdeina valgardena.it will meet for the fifth time on Friday. The South Tyroleans lead the series 3–1 and can seal their first-ever semifinal appearance on the road. For the “Furie”, the quarterfinals have been their best result so far, reached twice. All four games in the series have been extremely close, each decided by just one goal. On Tuesday, Gherdeina won 1–0 at home, while in Salzburg they claimed both games 3–2, one of them in overtime.
