The 31-year-old Canadian defenseman started his professional career in the 2016/2017 season in the US ECHL after spending his junior years in his home country. He eventually moved to Europe in 2017/18, joining Gap in France. A year later, he joined Bolzano in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Again, just one season later, Campbell finally made the move to Fehérvár, where he will be entering his fourth season. In 161 games for the Hungarians so far, the right-shooter has scored 106 points.

"I talked to my wife and after that the decision was made pretty quickly. We love the city and the club, we didn't really want to go anywhere else. Since I joined the team, I've seen that the organization is top, and every year we've had the building blocks to help us reach higher and higher goals. My fondest memories, other than last year, are definitely of my teammates and the relationships I've built with them and, of course, the games on home ice," Campbell said after the contract extension.
