For Markus Gander it was already the third multiple goal game this season. The 32-year-old last scored a hat trick on November 17th, 2018 – for HC Pustertal (4:2 @KEC). The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan took an early lead in the ultimately clear 6-1 home win over the Vienna Capitals Silver with goals from Gschnitzer (4.) and Kofler (7.). After a one-month break, the Viennese were from then on hardly in a position to score. Gander then made it 4-0 by the 26th minute and answered the only Vienna goal by Libor Machan (35./PP1) with his third. The final goal was scored by Alessio Niccolai (59./PP1).

Lustenau turns derby with crazy finish
EHC Lustenau ended its four-game losing streak with a brilliant comeback win after overtime in the Vorarlberg derby against EC Bregenzerwald, as the "Stickers" prevailed 4:3 on the road after a dramatic finish: With two goals in the 55th and 59th minute Chris D'Alvise equalized and exactly one minute before the end of the game, Jannik Fröwis scored his second goal for another Bregenzerwald lead. But David Slivnik immediately pulled one back with 40 seconds left and Stefan Hrdina made the turnaround perfect scoring on the first chance in OT.

Asiago remains unbeaten against EC-KAC Future Team
Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey remained unbeaten also in the twelfth duel with EC-KAC Future Team, defeating the young "Rotjacken" 3-0 in their comeback after one and a half months without playing. It was all the second-ranked AHL side in Klagenfurt, as Asiago took the lead in the 19th minute through Jose Magnabosco. Anthony Salinitri (36.) and Steven Iacobellis (40.) provided the decision in the final phase of the middle frame. Giordano Finoro remained without a scoring point in his debut for the vice-champion. For the EC-KAC Future Team, goalie Florian Vorauer showed a strong performance with 53 saves despite conceding three goals.
