Jesenice never stood a chance against Gherdeina. After just ten minutes, the South Tyroleans – celebrating their fifth win in five games of the intermediate round – were already leading 2–0. They added four more goals in the second period, with six different players finding the scoresheet by then, and seven in total by the end of the game. Gherdeina showed no mercy in the final period and even extended the lead to 7–0.
