After Rasmus Tirronen spent his junior years in his home country, the 30-year-old Finnish goalie signed a contract overseas, where he played first in the NAHL and then in the NCAA at Merrimack College. He began his professional career in the American Hockey League and then played for the Florida Everblades in the ECHL. During the 2016 season, the 191 cm, 91 kg goalie with excellent physical skills returned to Finland, where he played for TPS in the Finnish First Division during the 2017/2018 season and had a save percentage of over 90 percent. In 2019, he made his debut for the Finnish national team.

Ramus Tirronen: "I know the team's goalkeeper coach, Arttu Lipsanen, very well. Talking to the players, I heard only things that I will like about the team and the city of Fehérvár, and that made my decision much easier. I am very much looking forward to getting to know a new country and a new league. Viktor Szélig spoke with great enthusiasm about the team's plans, and Arttu and I will meet several times during the summer to prepare for the upcoming season in the best possible way."
