The EC-KAC has confirmed its goalkeeper line-up for the upcoming 2025/26 season: Following the contract extension with Sebastian Dahm, it is certain that Florian Vorauer will also continue to wear the Red Jackets' jersey. The homegrown player has signed a new contract until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Florian Vorauer was born in Klagenfurt, went through all the stages of the Red & White youth programme and honed his skills in the Future Team in the Alps Hockey League, for which he played 120 games. From 2023, the goalkeeper established himself as a permanent member of the first team. The 25-year-old has played a total of 25 games in the win2day ICE Hockey League to date, resulting in a goals-against average (GAA) of 2.72 and a save percentage of .893. Florian Vorauer has been particularly impressive in home games: each of his nine appearances in front of his home crowd to date has ended in a win for the EC-KAC. In the past season, he brought further stability to his game; since a shootout defeat in Bolzano at the end of November, the Red Jackets have been victorious in each of his six starts. Thanks to his good performances, the netminder also qualified for Austria's squad for the first time for the current World Championship in Sweden and Denmark.
