After just eleven seconds, Manuel Ganahl put the Graz side ahead in Székesfehérvár. Goalkeeper Maxime Lagacé proved to be a rock-solid presence in goal on several occasions thereafter. In the second period, a goal by Nick Bailen was initially disallowed, but shortly afterwards Kevin Conley – who recorded a ‘Gordie Howe hat-trick’ with a goal, an assist and a fight – made it 2–0. In the final period, power-play goals from Lukas Haudum and Conley again sealed the victory early on (4-0). Although Fehérvár pulled one back whilst shorthanded through Trevor Cheek, Nick Swaney scored into an empty net to make the final score 5-1.

Pustertal also remain unbeaten
In Ljubljana, HC Falkensteiner Pustertal got off to the better start: in the third minute, Austin Rueschhoff beat Olimpija goalkeeper Tokarski at the near post. The game was marked by plenty of physical play – a total of 236 penalty minutes were handed out. After a goalless second period, the visitors finally sealed the deal in the final period. Rok Tičar (41st) and Cole Bardreau (56th) scored on the power play to make it 3-0. Goalie Eddie Pasquale saved all 24 shots, securing his second consecutive shutout.
