The Erste Bank Eishockey Liga top teams Moser Medical Graz99ers and spusu Vienna Capitals each prolonged their winning streaks on Friday. While EC Red Bull Salzburg got their first win in Pick Round, the home sides of Qualification Round also held the upper hands. Four of five games were decided by only one goal.

Graz also won the fifth season meeting with Klagenfurt and has the maximum of points after four Pick Round games. The leaders took an early lead thanks to Oleksuk's goal - it was the only in the opening period. Early in the middle frame Andrew Kozek tied it but Graz was alway dangerous. In the third they used their chances with Zusevics restoring the lead and Kirchschläger making it a two-goal game. Daniel Oberkofler added an empty net goal for a4:3 road win.

While the Austrians were more offensive in the first, Fehervar missed two powerplays. The period ended with fast-paced, quality play but without a goal. Early in the second Sarauer had so sit in the penalty box and the guests used their chance well, Olden scored from the right side. One minute later the difference was already two goals, Caruso was penalized and Nissner put Holzapfel’s pass in the net. The Capitals were more active in the upcoming minutes as well then Harty and Mullen’s fight put the fire up in the middle of the period with their fight. Fehervar became more aggressive after the fight but had to defend four on five again after Sarauer’s penalty. DeSousa was the next in the penalty box and after Tikkanen’s blueliner, the home team cut the difference to one goal. Before the buzzer, Fehervar could have tied the game many times but Lamoreux was confident in the net. Late in the game Fehervar had more momentum but Luttinen, Sofron and Meland all missed and Lamoreux had a lot more to do than Carruth. For the last minute, coach Jarvenpaa pulled his goalie but Hari and co. did not manage to tie the game.

Despite having a 3-goal lead after 22 minutes, EC Red Bull Salzburg had to go to Overtime. In the extra session the hosts finally earned their first Pick Round win. Herburger and Hochkofler scored a brace for a 2:0 lead after the first and VandeVelde added a third. However, Bolzano tied the game within eight minutes. After a goalless third, Herburger decided it with his second of the night.

Dornbirn Bulldogs – EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz 4:3 OT (0:1, 0:1, 3:1)

Liwest Black Wings Linz had everything under control against Dornbirn but suffered an OT defeat in the end. Linz forward Davies put his side 2:0 ahead with one goal in the first and second. However, the Bulldogs - top scorer O'Donnell was injured early - struck back: Timmins and Häußle (sh) tied the game at two. After Kearns restoring the lead, it was Timmins again who forced overtime. In the extra session Timmins became the hero with a hat trick. With these two points Dornbirn came closer to second-placed Linz.

Innsbruck won their game of last chance against Villach, who dropped to the bottom again. Halfway through the first Andrew Yogan made the breakthrough. Despite the hosts having some more chances, Villach tied it late in the opening period thanks to Alderson. Early in the second former VSV player Antonitsch made it 2:1 Innsbruck with his first season goal. The hosts wasted lots of chances but it was enough to get three points.
