Graz showed strong pressing in the test in Kitzbühel and took an early lead through Casey Bailey. Vela and Gooch made it 3:0 before the end of the first period. The 99ers continued to play some attractive hockey after the restart, with young star Lenz Moosbrugger scoring the fourth goal in the 25th minute. The DEL club came out of the locker room with a lot of speed in the final period and Augsburg managed to score late on. However, Graz added two more and ran out clear 6:1 winners.

Victories for Salzburg and Ljubljana
EC Red Bull Salzburg won the game for 3rd place at the Red Bulls Salute in Zell am See against Red Bull Munich 4:2. In the fifth meeting in the history of the two clubs, the two teams fought a tough and sometimes heated duel at eye level, in which Salzburg knew how to make the most of their chances. Peter Schneider, Tyler Lewington, Vadim Schreiner and Luca Auer scored the goals for the ICE champions.

Just 24 hours after the prestigious win over the KAC, Olimpija Ljubljana faced Romanian club Gyergyói HK at the Tivoli. The Slovenians prevailed 6:4, with Lavoie, Kumanovič, Simšič, Mehle, Beričič and Vodlan getting six different players on the scoresheet.

Narrow defeat for Pustertal
HC Pustertal faced Löwen Frankfurt in the semi-finals of the Dolomites Cup in Neumarkt. The DEL club went into the first break with a 2:0 lead, but the South Tyroleans reduced the deficit to 1:2 in the middle period through Jason Akeson. However, no further goals were scored, meaning that the team from Bruneck will play for third place against the Czech representative Brno on Sunday.

Innsbruck game has to be cancelled prematurely
Innsbruck and Cologne fought a thrilling ice hockey duel for almost two periods - until the ice brought the game to an abrupt end. With 3:19 minutes left in the middle period, the ice was too thin in some places and the risk of injury was too great. The refereeing team and the teams jointly decided to call a premature halt to the game at 0-0. The two teams competed in a shootout, which the visitors won 2:1.
