Graz keeps three talents, Magnan quits

The Moser Medical Graz99ers and the three Austrian talents Jacob Pfeffer, Julian Pauschenwein and Amadeus Egger have agreed on a contract extension, while Dornbirn Bulldogs captain Olivier Magnan calls it a career after nine seasons at the Vorarlberg side.

The 20-year-old Jacob Pfeffer was already part of the Styrians in the past season, having previously played four seasons in the youth program of Örebro HK. In 36 ICE games, the Austrian U20 national player posted two assists.

"I decided to stay in Graz because I am convinced of the vision and philosophy of the 99ers and I see the best conditions here to consolidate myself at a high level and to develop steadily as a player," said the Viennese-born player, describing his reasons for staying.

Amadeus Egger and Julian Pauschenwein will also remain with past seasons bottom placed team. Both were loaned to clubs in the Alps Hockey League 20/21: Egger showed strong performances with BEMER VEU Feldkirch until he got injured, Pauschenwein played at the Steel Wings Linz.

Olivier Magnan calls it a career
After nine seasons with the Dornbirn Bulldogs, Olivier Magnan has ended his career. The Canadian defender played a total of 478 league games for the Vorarlberg side.

After his premiere season with HC Pustertal in 11-12, the defender joined the Dornbirn Bulldogs – and entered the international league now known as the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League with the Vorarlberg side. Magnan had been part of the Bulldogs for nine seasons since 2012. The 35-year-old acted as captain for the last three seasons. 24 of his 478 league games were playoff appearances, with 27 goals and 104 assists at the end of his career.
