The winning streak of the Moser Medical Graz99ers came to an end on Sunday. The Styrians were on maximum points before the game against the Capitals, winning 2:1 in Vienna to kick off the new season. On Sunday, Fleming's team got their revenge, taking the lead in the eighth minute with a powerplay goal from Peter Krieger. In a fast-paced game, the Styrians equalised at the start of the middle period through Trevor Gooch, but Niki Hartl made it 2:1 just 45 seconds later. The home side equalised again in the third period with another powerplay goal - this time by Vela. The game went into over time, where Evan Jasper decided it with a remarkable individual effort.

VSV celebrates first win of the season
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV celebrated its first win of the season. The Carinthians turned around a deficit in their home game against HC TIWAG Innsbruck and went into the first break with a 2:1 lead. After the restart, the Tyrol side equalised through Grasso, but John Hughes put the home side back in front with a rebound just 25 seconds later. Pustertal and the KAC were evenly matched, but the Carinthians went into the first break with a 2:0 lead - both goals were scored in the last two minutes of the opening period.
