The 99ers got off to a flying start. Just 31 seconds in, Marcus Vela circled around Fehérvár goaltender Rasmus Reijola and opened the scoring. Captain Korbinian Holzer doubled the lead midway through the first period before Balazs Varga cut the deficit to 2:1.

Graz once again struck early in the second frame when Paul Huber deflected home a powerplay goal after just 31 seconds. Shortly after, Nick Bailen added the fourth before a goal spree broke out: Fehérvár’s Kulmala pulled one back, but the 99ers answered with tallies from Huber, Roy and Bailen to extend their lead to 7:2. Although Rymsha scored on the powerplay late in the period, Graz remained in full control.

The final frame followed the same script. Terbocs scored for the visitors, but Kainz and Collins sealed the final 9:4 win. Both Paul Huber and Nicholas Bailen recorded a pair of goals.

With this victory, the Moser Medical Graz99ers move up to third place in the standings. Leaders Olimpija Ljubljana and EC Red Bull Salzburg sit four points ahead, but have played one game more.
