Taylor Matson is considered a leader and had the "A" on his chest both in Rögle and with HV71, with whom he achieved promotion to the SHL in the 2021/22 season.

Statement Taylor Matson: "I had a great first impression of Johan Pennerborn and felt that the Graz99ers would be a good fit for my hockey and my family. The goal for the upcoming season is to build a strong team that fights and competes every night. We have a good mix of talented young and old players that can build a good foundation. I myself want to take a leadership role on and off the ice and also bring my years of experience to help build a successful team."

In addition to Taylor Matson, Marius Gebhardt will also be part of the expanded squad. The 18-year-old has shown strong performances recently and is being brought up by Johan Pennerborn.
