The Moser Medical Graz99ers have reacted to the injury of goalie Anthony Peters and signed a replacement with Niklas Lundström. The 28-years-old Swede Niklas Lundström played in recent years in the SHL for Linköping and was among others teammate of 99ers forward Andrew Gordon. Last year, Lundström played 36 games in the SHL. The 188cm goalie was drafted in the fifth round by the St.Louis Blues in 2011, also played in the AHL, ECHL and Denmark, among others. With the Swedish national team, Lundström won the silver medal at the U18 and U20 World Championships.

"I am already looking forward to the adventure in Graz. It's a chance for me to play a lot of games and help the 99ers win games. Also, I'm especially looking forward to playing in a team with Andrew Gordon again," said newcomer Niklas Lundström.

"He is a goalie with experience from different leagues in Europe. Niklas has good size and will be a good complement to Nussi. We now have two good goalies again now that Peters is injured and can't play," added head coach Jens Gustafsson.
