HC Orli Znojmo's first roster for the 2020/21 season includes eight Czech players, the quarter-finalist of the past season announced on May 1st. In addition to captain Radim Matuš, who was only able to play 30 games past season due to injury, Adam Sedlák, Jakub Stehlík, Vladimír Oščádal and Roman Čermák will remain with the "eagles".

Meanwhile, a Czech trio has been newly signed up: Adam Havlík, who played over 200 games in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga for Znojmo between 2011 and 2015, returned home from EC "Die Adler" Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. Vojtěch Němec, a 34-year-old forward, has played in the Czech extra league continuously since 2014 - most recently two seasons at HC Pilsen, where he scored 24 points (10G | 24A) in 44 games in the last one. Defender Dominik Tejnor is the second returning player: he already played for Znojmo in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga between 2017 and 2019 and was active at Piráti Chomutov (CZE 2) last season.
