It was the first meeting of the season between the Lakers and the Highlanders. The matchup in Ferlach developed into an open back-and-forth contest. The visitors went ahead in the 16th minute, but the Carinthian team equalized three seconds before the first intermission. Momentum swung to the hosts, who took the lead for the first time in the middle period. Shortly before the second break, however, the Styrians struck back to tie the game 2–2. With her second goal, Emma Hall put the Lakers ahead once more — but the lead lasted only until the 57th minute. Lena Dauböck equalized, and just 57 seconds later, Sara Confidenti completed the comeback for KSV. Andrea Kantorova sealed the win with an empty-netter. With this victory, the Highlanders remain second in the AWHL standings, while the Lakers sit fourth.

For the second time this EWHL season, a rematch of last year’s final took place between Aisulu Almaty and Sabres St. Pölten. The defending champions had won the first encounter 4–0, and again the Kazakh side came out on top. In a physical contest with penalties on both sides, Almaty scored the lone goal of the first period and doubled the lead in the 29th minute. Charlotte Wittich pulled one back in the final frame, but Katharina Kirkby sealed the deal with her second goal into the empty net.

The VSV Lady Hawks narrowly lost their first game of the Hungarian road trip against Budapest Jégkorong Akadémia. Boroka Batyi tallied twice to give the hosts a 2–0 lead, and by the 25th minute it was 3–0 for Budapest. The Carinthians battled back, led by Liga Miljone who recorded a goal and two assists, to tie the game. However, with three minutes remaining, Haizea Fernandez scored to hand the home team the win.

HK PSRZ Bratislava defeated the Graz99ers Huskies 3–0. The Slovak side took the lead late in the first period, and a pair of goals from Janka Hlinkova in the second frame secured the decision. Goaltender Zuzana Tomeckova earned a shutout with 24 saves.

The first of two matchups between the DEC Salzburg Eagles and Tauron Metropolia Silesia within 24 hours turned into a true offensive spectacle. The Polish team led 3–0 after 24 minutes, and that score held through the second intermission. The final period saw nine goals: the Eagles quickly tied the game, and a double strike from Jamie Grinder gave them a 5–3 advantage. After the visitors leveled the score this time, Salzburg regained the lead in the final minute — only for Karolina Pozniewska to make it 6–6 with 16 seconds remaining. After a scoreless overtime, the Eagles secured the extra point in the shootout.
