HK SZ Olimpija wins first home game

The HK SZ Olimpija won its first home game of the new season in Alps Hockey League. The Slovenians posted a comfortable 6:0 shutout-win against Hockey Milano Rossoblu and celebrated the second win of the season. The Italians suffered their second defeat within 24 hours.

So HK SZ Olimpija took the 6th place in standings, Hockey Milano Rossoblu is ranked 15th. The Slovenians overlapped two shorthanded situations on an early stage of the game and took their lead later. Janez Orehek potted the first goal for the hosts in 13th minute. Ales Music increased the lead for Ljubljana with a brace in the middle frame. Both goals made in power play situations. Overall, the Slovenians had much more scoring chances in the middle frame. They continued in the final frame: While being shorthanded, David Planko made the fourth goal for the hosts. They scored two more goals later in the last and celebrated a clear win.
