The EC Red Bull Salzburg and Peter Hochkofler will continue to work together in the future. The 27-year-old forward once came from the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy and has already been playing in Salzburg's professional team for seven years. Including the academy time, the native of South Tyrol has now been playing for the Red Bulls for twelve years: "It feels like family. I not only know the guys of the team, but also more or less all the staff around the team and very many from the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy. That really makes it special for me here in Salzburg."

Salzburg's Head Coach Matt McIlvane also appreciates the forward's qualities: "I'm very happy to continue having Peter on the ice and in the dressing room. He is the best example of how we work and how we act. He's a great player that younger guys can look up to and has an excellent understanding of how to implement our game and tactics on the ice."

Hochkofler, who celebrated two win2day ICE Hockey League championships with the Red Bulls, shows offensive as well as defensive qualities, finishing with 5 goals and 10 assists in 43 games last season. He is already back practicing with the team.

Kanzig and LoVerde leave the Red Bulls
Defender Keegan Kanzig, who joined Salzburg last year and became champion with the Red Bulls last season, is leaving the Red Bulls after all.
