The home teams had reasons to celebrate on Sunday. While Moser Medical Graz99ers are still on top, EC-KAC moved up to second place thanks to a home win against champions HC Bolzano.

Leader Moser Medical Graz99ers strengthened their position at the top with a 6:0 shutout win against Medvescak Zagreb. It was the Styrians' biggest win against the bears in EBEL history. The hosts opened the scoring in the first with a brace and added two more in the middle frame. Colton Yellow Horn rounded off the scoring with his second of the game.

EC-KAC moved up to second place as the Carinthians overcame Bolzano thanks to a 4:1 home win. The hosts made the preliminary decision even in the starting period when scoring four unanswered goals. After a goalless second it looked like the hosts can earn a shutout but Kuparinen's power play goal got Bolzano on the scoreboard.

EC Red Bull Salzburg – HC Orli Znojmo 6:2 (1:1,2:0,3:1)

Salzburg earned a second win within 24 hours. The Red Bulls beat HC Orli Znojmo 6:2 with the Czechs suffering the first defeat in November. The game was tied at one after the first but then Regner and Gazley got their colours on winning ways. Despite Znojmo pulling one back, Salzburg was not in trouble and made the game safe.

Liwest Black Wing Linz got a sixth successive home win, beating Fehervar 4:2. After having a 2-goal lead after the first, Umicevic added one more at the halfway point of the game. Sarauer got the guests on the scoreboard on power play but Lebler promptly restored the 3-goal lead.

Dornbirn Bulldogs had a 6-point-weekend thanks to a tight 3:2 home win against Villach on Sunday. Halfway through the first the hosts had a 2:0 lead but Fraser halved the deficit on power play. After Broda's third Bulldogs goal, Down made it a 1-goal game once again. In the final push DEC goalie Rasmus Rinne kept the win.
