In the European Women’s Hockey League, the Lakers Kärnten claimed a 4–2 victory over Budapest Jegkorong Akademia on Saturday. Tauron Metropolia Silesia also celebrated a narrow 3–2 home win against EVB Eagles South Tyrol – after the Polish side had been trailing 0–2 with just nine minutes remaining.

The Lakers Kärnten secured their 4–2 win over Budapest Jegkorong Akademia after a scoreless opening period. Emma Hall (2) and Baylee Kirwan scored within twelve minutes to give the home team control, before Britta Bachler sealed the final score at 4–2. Goaltender Davina Falmbigl stopped 25 of 27 shots.

Meanwhile, EVB Eagles South Tyrol suffered a tight 2–3 defeat on the road at Tauron Metropolia Silesia. Two goals from Kylie Aquaro were not enough for the visitors from Bolzano to secure the win. With eight minutes remaining, the Eagles still led 2–0, but Silesia turned the game around late. Karolina Pozniewska scored both the equalizer and the game-winning goal.
