Home-wins increase lead for Salzburg

The home teams booked wins in the holiday games. The EC Red Bull Salzburg celebrated a 7:1 success against the HC TWK Innsbruck. As the Liwest Black Wings Linz took successfully revenge on the spusu Vienna Capitals, Salzburg managed to increase the lead in standings. The new second placed team is the EC-KAC, who defeated the Dornbirn Bulldogs at the debut of Kai Suikkanen.

Linz took revenge on Capitals
The EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz took successfully revenge on the spusu Vienna Capitals. One week ago the Black Wings had to take a 2:4 defeat, today they celebrated a 6:3 success. The Caps had the better start into the game creating the lead after three minutes. The Black Wings turned the game still in the first period scoring three goals. Linz was the more efficient team this night and increased the lead to 5:2. The Caps had more chances but had to take a 3:6 defeat. The Caps fell down to the third place, Linz captured place number four in the ranking.



KAC captures second place
The Dornbirn Bulldogs announced they new head coach Kai Suikkanen before the game. He should bring the turnaround after eleven defeats. The winning streak of the KAC was stopped on Sunday. In the first period the defense of Bulldogs competed against the offense of the KAC. In the second period the KAC acted much more efficiently and created a 3:0 lead. Simeon Schwinger scored the first goal for the Bulldogs in the new era of Suikkanen. Manuel Ganahl shined on this evening scoring three goals for his first time in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. The KAC won 5:1 and captured the second place in standings, trailing by five points to leader Salzburg.

Salzburg increases lead
The EC Red Bull Salzburg celebrated a 7:1 success against the HC TWK Innsbruck and increased the lead in standings, as the Capitals lost. The Red Bulls have laid the foundations for the win in the first period scoring three goals. John Hughes striked twice in the second for the 5:0 after 40 minutes. Salzburg celebrated a 7:1 win to increase the lead in the standings.
