Nathan Di Casmirro played his first game for EC-KAC II on Thursday: The Red Jackets were the chiefs on the ice in the first 30 minutes and got a 3:0-lead thanks goals from Kele Steffler (13.), Philipp Cirtek (19.) and Markus Pirmann (28.). But, the Special Units allowed EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel to get back into the game! In minute 29, Kitzbühels‘ Mario Ebner took the first penalty of the game, but Henrik Hochfilzer netted the 1:3 shorthanded. Then, Klagenfurt took two penalties and this was quickly punished by the Eagles: Just 261 seconds after his first goal, Hochfilzer potted the 2:3 in a Power Play (35./pp). The game went up and down now. Klagenfurt had the upper hand of the game in the last 20 minutes again and the effort was rewarded with two goals from Dennis Sticha (48.) and Philipp Kreuzer (54.) – 5:2. The Tyroleans had their chances too, but goalie Jakob Holzer allowed no more goals. Klagenfurt has earned their first 3-point-win at home 2018/19.

Andrea Moser was absent for injury. Luca Burzacca was the starting goalkeeper for home team. Terzago and Gardiol were absent for the visitors. In the first period the Cortina maintained the initiative as they scored after almost nine minutes with Francesco Adami who realized with a touch in front of the door after a quick action started by Vänttinen and then carried on with Di Diomete. This goal was also the only one of the first period. In the central period the Cortina overtook an inferiority and then when playing in powerplay they doubled with Riccardo Lacelli with an action under the net. The Milan, however, halved immediately the disadvantage with Gianluca Tilaro (ex Cortina). But home team re-established the distances with Riccardo Lacedelli again. Then the game progresses until the third time when there was a pyrotechnic final. After 54 minutes the Milan, in less than 120 seconds, equalized the score with one of the new arrivals, Alex Bertin, and then with powerplay with Andrea Schina after a penalty by Mathieu Ayotte. But the same attacker, once he got out of the penalty bench, put things back in order. First he scored the new advantage goal (57 ') and then signed the empty net goal (58') that allowed the Cortina to win for 5: 3 and to be confirmed in tenth position.
