Hydro Fehérvár AV19 won its fourth consecutive semifinal game in Villach with a clear 4:1 and successfully ended the "best-of-seven" series against EC GRAND Immo VSV, as the Hungarians showed above all a sovereign penalty killing: Already in the opening phase, the team of Head Coach Kevin Constantin acted over three and a half minutes shorthanded – without conceding a goal, also after a game misconduct penalty called against Josh Atkinson about 2,5 minutes left in the first. Rasmus Tirronen had excellent saves in the first.

After being five minutes shorthanded, the Hungarians took the lead in the 24th minute through Milan Horvath, which Balint Magosi (34.) doubled up about ten minutes later from a similar distance. Towards the end of the middle period, Villach had a powerplay and after 99 minutes without a goal on home ice, Benjamin Lanzinger (40./PP1) redeemed the VSV supporters: Krastenbergs served the Austrian in the slot, who converted his own rebound. Villach thus picked up momentum before the second intermission, but then was not compelling enough in the third. The visitors added one more in the 48th minute when Alex Petan perfectly fed a free Csanad Erdley in the slot, who made it 3-1. Fehérvár did not let itself take the lead in the closing minutes. Erdely then cleared it with an empty-netter. With the final entry of Hydro Fehérvár AV19 the EC Red Bull Salzburg is also named as Austrian champion.
