The young forward speaks openly about his childhood dreams, memorable moments on the ice, and the joy he finds in the sport. “I probably would have become a police officer, because my father worked in the police – that always fascinated me,” Purdeller says with a smile.

He also talks honestly about nerves and motivation: “Before my first game for my hometown team, I was definitely nervous – it was something really special.” His favourite moment so far? “Winning the championship in Canada. Sharing that with my family was unforgettable.”

And what advice does he give Sophie when she doubts herself? “Just remind yourself why you’re doing it. Because you love it. And because it’s fun.”
