Black Wings surprise Fehérvár
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz celebrated a surprising 3:2 away win at second-placed Hydro Fehérvár AV19. While the Hungarians conceded their first defeat after previously winning three games in a row, the Upper Austrians celebrated their second win in a row under interim coach Mark Szücs. The guests took the lead in the 13th minute of the game through a goal by Stefan Gaffal. In the second period, however, the response of the home side answered promptly. First Milan Horvath equalized after 51 seconds, before Csanad Erdely put the Hungarians in the lead eleven minutes later. The narrow one-goal lead lasted until five and a half minutes before the end of the game, before Dragan Umicevic managed to equalize. In the 59th minute, the Black Wings even managed to turn the game around completely. Niklas Bretschneider scored the final goal to make it 3:2 after an assist by Andreas Kristler. For Linz it was the first win against Fehérvár after seven defeats in a row.

Pustertal ends losing streak
After ten defeats in a row, the HC Pustertal returned to winning ways. In their first game without Head Coach Luciano Basile, the league newcomer defeated the Moser Medical Graz99ers with 3:2. Neo-head coach Raimo Helminen is expected to arrive in Bruneck later this week. Until then Matej Hocevar is in charge of the "Wolves". Man of the match in Tuesday's narrow victory was Jakob Stukel. The Canadian scored the goals to make it 1:0 and 3:2. On the side of the 99ers, who lost for the first time after two wins in a row, Ben Blood and Adis Alagic scored. For Pustertal it was the first of three home games this week. On Friday it comes to the second South Tyrolean derby with Bolzano. On Saturday Fehérvár will play in the Intercable Arena.

League leader Ljubljana wins in Znojmo
League leader HK SZ Olimpija returned from the International Break with a 5:3 away win. The league newcomer from Slovenia was already trailing 0:2 after two periods. In the final period, however, the "Dragons" played an excellent game and even pulled away to a 4:2 lead. In the third duel of the season between the two teams, Znojmo conceded its second defeat. Ljubljana, with five different players scored, won for the first time after two losses in a row.

CHL Round of 16: KAC with clear win | Loss for Bolzano

The EC-KAC made a great start in the Champions Hockey League Round of 16 duel with Leksands IF. The reigning bet-at-home ICE Hockey League champion won with 4:0 in front of their home crowd and thus already have one leg in the quarterfinals. Next week in Sweden (23.11.), the KAC can afford a defeat with a four-goal difference, with one goal scored by themselves, to advance to the next round. Thomas Koch opened the scoring against the SHL's third-placed team in the power play (12.). Johannes Bischofberger (24., 54.) and Steven Strong (50.) provided the other goals for the KAC.

In contrast, the HCB Südtirol Alperia conceded a defeat in the first leg. The reigning runner-up of the ICE lost to the reigning champion of the Finnish Liiga, Lukko Rauma, with 1:3. The only goal of the "Foxes" was scored by Mike Halmö in the 32nd minute of the game. In the second leg (24.11.) the HCB needs at least three away goals to still have a chance to enter the quarterfinals for the first time. As the third team of the ICE, the EC Red Bull Salzburg is challenged tomorrow (Wednesday) by the Rouen Dragons in France.
